Team Outing!

Just back from Team outing,it was a marvellous day(apart from being friday, which is a holy day for s/w ppl).
We went for full day outing to Goldern Palm Resort, which is Sanjay Khans resort. It was a awsome place, though many ppl did'nt like it then our previous outing place(Club Cabana). We planned to leave from our office through a 50 seater bus by 8:30AM,but as usual we all followed our IST and left arnd 9:45AM.As traffic is also getting verse in b'lore,so we reached finally to resort at 11:30AM.After having our welcome drink,we rushed to games section.Though we planned to start with Cricket, but unluckly resort ppl have other guests(ppl from informatica) who were using the cricket ground. The incharge assured us that ground will be available for us by 1 oclock. So we planned to enjoy other games and go for cricket after lunch.
We(Chinu, prem,K boss,Ravi,Nataraj and many more) went to play TT & Tennis.I could not try much hands on Tennis as i was not in sports shoes.
As planned we went for lunch which was served near pool side(food stuff was really cool,we ate upto our brim). All were feeling sleepy after lunch.Ppl were not as enthusiastic to play cricket as they were in intial stage.Any how our dear frnd Ravi(gr8 cricket lover) was able to pull all of us to cricket ground which was still occupied by informatica guys.Anyhow they vacated the area soon(for which we again took help of resort incharge).Totally we played 2 matches(our team lost one and won the other). After matches we were totally exausted and it was already 5.00 PM ,so we went for our high tea and then planned to jump into water pool to relax out tiring body(which is not use to scorching heat and physical hard work we have put into cricket).
As our team guys were already playing volleyball in pool,so we too got into it and enjoyed till 7.00PM.Then got refreshed and went to bar to have some cool drinks...i know it sounds odd(where we enjoyed jokes with sush, pulled her leg a lot for drinking). Then went for photo session all arnd the resort and finally settled for dinner.I did'nt ate much but food was good as usual.

Finally we landed up to office at 10:30PM and here i am on my blog(could not stop my self from writing, though was feeling too tired to stare at monitor, just thinking if some body can drop me to home, dont feel like driving.Any how have to take my bike as Anju is coming early in morning to b'lore, have to pick her up and do a couple of her important tasks).Chalo will be back soon!

Hyderabad Trip!

I am back from Hyd today morning. It was a fun trip.Left on tuesday evening on train for hyderabad(food facility in train was good enough...as compared to pune journey).Reached hyd 5:45 in morning(it was drizzling),called up my cousin to know the exact location of her house.Took an auto to her place in bangera hills.Auto's in hyd are good looking, but they are not as supersonic in speed as here in b'lore.
Finally reached my cousin placed, got refreshed and planned for outing after lunch. My cousin prepared food at home(she makes awsome chappati's,got chance to taste homely food for few more days). As it was Ganesh chaturthi,so bhaiya(abha's elder bro) was also free.So we went for a movie(NO ETNTRY),for which we already booked tickets on phone. But unlucky when we reached there, theatre ppl sold off all tickets. So i managed to get tickets in black(all three tickets had different seat numbers, that also got managed soon in hall). On the whole movie was good, specially the second half. After movie we went to hussain sagar lake, went around on necklace road(stayed there for half an hour). Then we moved to a near by mall PRASAD.There we had coffee and tried to catch up some apparel for abha, but ladies segment was weak in mall.So came back home.I was of intension to have dinner outside, but bhaiya & abha were too fedup of outside food,so i settled with them(homely food is yummy for me,specially the wonderfull chaapatis that abha made).
When we reached home, electricity went off and abha has to manage cooking without electricity in candle light. We winded up dinner by 12:15AM and went straight to bed as all were too tired.
Next day nothing was planned for outing except doing shopping for abha in Hyderabad cental(which we again planned after lunch). We left for Central around 3:00PM,where abha tried lot of apparels and finally after one hour and 30 mins search we have got good clothes for her. Then we settled for coffee and chatted a lot.My train was at 7:00PM,so we left from central around 5:45PM to pickup my luggage and finally reached station 5 mins before train departure(thanks god, did'nt missed my train).
I was planning for hyd trip from last 8 months(yaa i know,i am too lazy to go ahead with implementing my plans, but was too busy with work schedule to feel free to go any where except on important ocassions).
Finally back to b'lore.Hope for next trip soon(may be to sikkim, will plan with all frnds).

Reunification

This weekend was really gr8888888.. and rememberable moment for me as I went to pune to meet my college days sweet frnds(sharmaji, chow & yash),specially chow who has came from US.I started from b'lore on thursday night and reached pune on friday evening. As it was long journey,so i had taken one novel(Tao of Physics),which i have hardly read 30-40 pages. It was based on linkage b/w physics and old time religion ,which has always forced me to sleep. So most of the journey i was sleeping and rest of the time was excited about time, i have planned ahead in pune.

Finally when i reached pune, chow and sharmaji came to recieve me(as they have already reached pune thru flight and arranged for a marvellous hotel near station).Yash was expected to join us late in night after his job shift. As he already took lot of holidays for his brother marriage and his father operation,so we planned pune as destination of our reunion else i was looking forward for Bhopal(to refresh once again our college days).Anyways, days at pune was fantastic.

On friday evening, we three left for FC road and had some good stuff(pav bhaji) in a restuarent.Mean while did lot of bakar with chow.
We also called up Kaul baba(one of our batch mate) to same place and he was not ready to believe that we all were in pune.Kaul took lot of time to reach FC road,so in the mean time we guys took a big round of FC road(2-3 times).
Finally we have settled down with kaul in Subway, shared lot of jokes(as all the time i was pulling kauls leg:-).With kaul we took our dinner outside and came back to hotel, wating for yash to join us.Surprisingly, yash came straight to our room without even letting us know of his arrival.

Now was the time of actual bakar. We were awake till 2-3 AM and then have to sleep as we had planned for a trip to lonawala and khandlaa(b/w pune and mumbai).

Next day we ran behind our schedule and was ready after our break fast for leaving to lonvala/khandala by 11AM.We hired a cab after lot of bargain on price(settled for 1100+toll tax).So we were rocking on express way by 12:30.

We saw various places like Tata power Dam,Caves, lonvala(it was too foggy/cloudy weather and really good place) and finally khandala(nice place but was not as exciting as i expected). On the whole, the trip was excellent. Finally we left for pune arnd 6PM and reached there by 7:35PM.Then we had a plan for movie and was not sure for which to go and also not aware of show timings. So we have asked the cab person to drop us to INOX theatre. There we could not catchup any good movie (was looking for Ramji london waley). All the show timings were before 8PM.Finally i remembered one of the theatre that i saw near station which was screening the movie. So i and rajiv rushed to the theatre to checkout timings/ticket availability and in the meantime yash & chow went to hotel to drop the stuff we had bought from lonavala. Finally we got the tickets of the movie of 9:30PM show.Chow's cousin brother was studing in pune,so we also invited him for the movie.

Movie was full of fun.I was having a feeling that i was still in bhopal with my frnds watching a movie in some bhopali theatre. After movie, we went to COMESUM(24 hrs)on railway station and stayed there till 3AM.It was too crowded with young guys and gals(as if it was some fashion show going on).
We adieu chow's brother and were back to hotel. All were too tired and we have to checkout next day so we slept soon.Next day we got up late as usual and then got ready to checkout from hotel. As i had my b'lore KSRTC bus at 4PM,so we planned to meet bhabhiji(sharmaji elder brother's would be wife).Bhabhiji was not happy as she has prepared food for us and we were asking her to have lunch outside. Finally we settled for lunch at her home(she has prepared really dellicious kofta's...after many years got chance to have them).Last few hours at bahbhiji house was cool enough.
It was almost 3:20PM and we have to reach the bus stop(the exact place i was not aware of),so me,rajiv & bhabhiji took one auto and chow, yash hired another one to give me final buy on bus stop.At last we reached the place, where bus was about to leave.I boarded it and gave final love to my frnds(that too in hurry, was feeling so sad).
Now began my journey towards b'lore in which i just thought of days i spent at pune with frnds. In whole journey,we got 2 movies to watch(Sarfarosh & Dus) which i was hardly interested to see.
Late night i came to know that chow and rajiv has missed there flight to delhi and later chow planned of going to Shirdi(from there his plans were for ujjain).Yash left for aurangabad and my dear sharmaji have to stay at bhabhiji house in pune to catch up next day flight for delhi.
When i came back to b'lore i was feeling as if i was in pune from long time.I wish God to gather as again soon for another good ocassion.

Today i will be heading for my next gr8 trip to hyderabad(will have fun with my cousin).See you soon again!

The Rising!

As we had last weekend long enough (15th August holiday), so my frnds and me planned for movie Mangal Pandey.Shuvam and I was giving a lot of fight last week to book a ticket in PVR for it, but hard luck. So finally on Saturday we spend 3 hours to get a ticket in Multiplex.

One reason to watch the movie was, mega star Aamir Khan, though movie story also matters a lot to us irrespective of cast crew. On Sunday, when we read/heard lot of bad reviews of MP, we felt sad (specifically becoz whenever we (shuvam, gunajit etc) went for movie, it has turned to be a flop on box office..last movie we went was Kisna).

Anyways, when we saw the movie, we all found it good enough (at least not so bad as per reviews). I think there could be two reasons for dislike of ppl

1.There was no regular Ishq/family masala in movie

2.There was no enthusiastic ending to the movie (like good ppl having victory on evil, regular maar-dhaad).

It was a 3 hours movie on a brave soldier (history has only a small snippet of him) and whatever the director tried to depict was good enough.

I felt really good to watch such movie on 15th august, which shows how much struggle ppl have made to give freedom to us. Sati system, race difference etc all seems really sick and inhuman things. Thanks god, such procedures are not followed now days.

Apart from this, I got chance to catch up Forest Gumb.Tom hanks has brilliantly performed. Really , Hollywood directors think differently, all above the regular masala from bollywood style. And I know such movies will not be appreciated by our ppl. Though new generation is getting a lot of sense from Hollywood story line, but it will take a long time for us to adapt to such themes and follow in bollywood.
Hope to catch up more good movies soon!

B'day Month

Did not made a post from long time as was in training for couple of days.
Anyways,August is the time of of b'day's in my family.13th-- masiji,15th papa and 17th(today)mama's.Wished them all but could not show my presence at home(though we never celebrate b'days, still mom cook some good stuff if we are there and i feel the warmth of being something special on such days).
May God bless them all with happiness and good health!

High in air!

This is always a dream come true for a person who always sees into the sky and think that he too will get a chance to fly high up in the air.Yaa..i am talking of my first experience in flight. As per i had no plans to come by flight, but my cousin had to join infy on 25th.So i decided to leave early from home town and drop her.As she already booked her flight ticket,so i also booked my tickets through some refernce but unluckly in separate airways(Indian Airlines).
My friend Rajiv ,sister and me reached early to delhi domestic airport(palam), as i have to get ticket from some refered person. My flight timing was 4:30 and my cousin flight was at 5:30.

Once i got my ticket from the concerned person, we had our lunch and then took some tips of procedure that need to be gone through before boarding plane from Rajiv. After that i left for final checkout(have already submitted my luggage) and adieu to my frnd. Then while waiting for my flight i got a lot of calls from masiji, mummy and my frnds father. This was a good time pass there for me.After some time a announcement was made that our flight is delayed by 40 mins..so will leave at 5:10PM .I was happy as i will reach bangalore close to my cousin arrival time.
Around five o'clock announcement was made for executive class ppl for our flight, so i waited there to get announcement for economic class(as i already saw that for other flights there were separate doors for economic and executive class ).20 mins passed, i heard no announcement for economic class for our flight.I was bit worried but thought, may be it takes time. Then suddenly i heard a announcement"This is a final call for ppl who want to go to bangalore thru flight number IT403".I was shocked, but no time to regain from it, just left towards the concerned door where the instructor asked abt my flight and after i told..he communicated on his wireless that final passenger has arrived!
I felt like that they were just waiting for me ,though i was sitting from last 30mins waiting for announcement.God knows where things went wrong.I alone went thru bus to plane and as soon i got down one of the attend asked me "where i was?"..but i had no time to give him any explaination.
Then i boarded the plane where the Air hostess welcomed me with a smile, and then found that my seat is already occupied by a old lady who was accompanied by a handicapped son.So could not argue for my window seat.Anyways have to sit in middle place between 2 fat uncles(sounds horrible and unlucky)Anyways was getting a glance of outside and had my novel with me to kill time.
I felt to be in flight just while taking off & landing (few of the times in between when it took turns or jerks around..feeling as if was driving on some uneven road).
After the plane took off...I was feeling that we are sailing in a big ocean of clouds.Got a good view of delhi. As it was cloudy climate ,so later could not see down. Then i spent my 2 hours 20 mins in plane reading novel, had my refreshments and in middle galncing out of window. Finally we reached bangalore (got a good night view of rocking b'lore). After getting down coolly, colleted my luggage and waited for 20 mins for my cousin. Then we happly reached my place and called up everyone of our safely reaching to b'lore. My parents were bit worreid and excited also, as it was my first exp. though, they themselves never got chance.Looking for the day when i will travel with my family:-)
Forgot to mention that i got a good glance of gr8 and down to earth man at bangalore airport..guess who??ofcourse it is IT city ..so u will see big shots of IT firms. It was chief mentor NR Narayana Murthy of infosys. He was looking like a normal man (I mean he had no charisma of big shots)accompanied by a plane clothes guard. No one was giving any concern to him and he hurriedly left from the airport.I was happy to see him like a cine star for kids.

Anyways, waiting for my next experience in flight!

Nice but short

Hey i am back from home, now feeling sad & lonely. Will revive from this nostalgia within few days.Let me give you brief description of my short and gr8 trip.
Left for my home town on train, though it is long journey but i was happy to have a frnd of mine kartar singh(alias name kept by me).We really enjoyed one and half day journey and also learnt some card games/tricks from him.He was also going back to home in reference to some govt. job(Wish him Good luck!)
I reached delhi on sunday morning and finally to my home place in night, where my parents & sis were eagerly waiting to recieve me on station.Felt relax and happy to see them.
Good thing was that where ever i planned to go during my vacation it was raining all around, though weather was humid which was little irritating but rain has given relief from scorching heat.
My next 2 days were at home where i unluckly fall sick.Third day i went to meet my relatives on father side that too in hurry, uncle was not happy on my short visit as he always like me to stay for day or 2 but i cannot make it becasue of shotage of time.Fourth day i went to my maternal side. Here the duration was too short as i have lot of ppl to meet.Happy thing for me was to meet my younger masiji whom i have not visited from last 2-3 years.
Actually my return plans were of 28th july but my cousin had to join infy on 25th in mysore, so have to come along with her.
Second last day i stayed at home with mom & dad and also went to meet my school time close frnd late in night.Got chance to see his parents too, as i never went to his place after my 10th studies.Really feel good that they still luv and remember me with same ease.

Final day i left for delhi early in morning where my gr8 loving frnd came to recieve me.The day was good enough, but we had to face bad luck for some time in delhi as cops caught us twice for no helmet and grabbed 250 bugs. Finally when we reached his home, there was some mess up with internal lock of his house and we went to his frnd house, where i felt relaxed and ate a lot(was hungery from morning). Thanks to his frnd.

Atlast went to station on hired cab to pickup my sis and left for airport to leave for bangalore.

On the whole days were really good but my short duration at each one place made me feel bad.Hope to see them all again sooon with ample time in hand.

In office, everyone was surprised to see me early from vacation.

How time flies!

Its almost 2 weeks i am away from my blog. You all know i was enjoying these weeks with my frnds and relatives who came down to b'lore.Though i came to office but here too was busy with work.

Let me tell you wht all i did in last two weeks:
First of all my b'day on 29th june...celebrtated with frnds and colleagues.Went out for lunch with my frnds(Chinu,Prem,Kothari boss) who bought a lovely and tasty cake ....they really made a big effort to arrange for it...got lot of gud wishes from expected and unexpected ppl( dont ask me for list of ppl :-) .For evening i had planned for dinner with my relatives but as my mausaji was not well so have to drop it.Anyways day was really nice!
My cousin left for home on thursday( last to last week) with my mausaji and masiji...before i could feel bad abt her absence, next day i had my best frnd here in b'lore and a surprise visit from my other cousin. We did lot of bakar on saturday, played pool, watched movie(War of the World) and had a nice dinner at Vaman bhaiya house(my frnds elder bro).Enjoyment does not stop here man..we still had sunday with us and we planned a outing to sheem samundram and all the near by places on a hired qualis.
We did trekking, played around in river water and watched a couple of temples on way back home in evening.Missed out to tell abt south indian udupi lunch we had on bannana leaves, sitting on ground..really tasted good..all ate upto the brim:-)

From next day I was back to office and my frnd was busy with my cousin for her medical checkup..and more personal stories in it(hard to write down all of them).Took off on thursday as my frnd was leaving in the evening..really felt bad, anyways i will be going home this weekend for 10 days.So has a reason to be happy:-)
Few of the pics which i had got right now from our trip(have taken from hill where a temple is situated) is posted here...have lot of pending pics to upload on blog and yahoo..hope to upload them soon!

Sweatheart place

We have shifted to our new house last weekend. It’s a nice place with a good view of near by lake. House is well maintained and it’s located out of city mad rush. Really feel relaxing after going home. Only thing that pains is the 1 km stretch of uneven road to my house, which is yet to be constructed properly. Anyways, i can bear it for a beautiful and nice house. I will soon post pics of my new house.
Have lot of pending work in queue. Will be back soon!

Days ahead!

One of my school days best frnd came down to b'lore yesterday. Really feel gr8 to meet ppl of our circle. So went around with him for movie, did lot of bakar and also ate a lot last evening in forum. He will be leaving today evening, hope to see him soon again at my hometown.

I hope the coming few weeks will be enjoying and gr8 for me. Thats becoz next week my masiji and masadji are coming down to b'lore and next to next week my best frnd Rajiv will be here in b'lore. Now the only thing that pains me is that lot of work pressure will not allow me to devote full time with them, so wish to manage as much time to enjoy. And I am also planning to go home in middle of July.

Forgot to mention that we are moving to new house this weekend. There is lot of stuff to be done before moving into new place. Looks like, days ahead will be busy and hectic but I wish for enjoyment and happiness.

This stage of life has made me feel the sense of responsibility which I was also discussing with my frnd last evening, now we have to take care of everything right from work plans to near & dear ones, and cannot ignore anyone as we did in child hood days. Parent really does a tough job with gr8 patience and care. God bless them!

Back in form

I am back to office from last one week and really feeling in good health after my deadly days of tonsil & fever.Though have lost lot of energy and health, never mind will regain with time.
My boss was on leave from last three days, so had more responsibility on alloted work.As he is back now, so feeling relax and safe as he shadow us from our sins on work side and get lot of guidance too:-).Thanks to him(he also bought some tasty chocolates from ooty for us!).

Relationship!

From past few days i am feeling the warmth of good relation and friendship.I was already suffering from cough and cold from last one week, but suddenly on tuesday my temperature started rising that too when i was in office.I took some tablet as i usually keep them with me.It settled down but after lunch it again started rising and made me feel uneasy.I had lot of work to complete, and most important was the meeting which i have setup. Some how i completed as much work i can by 5:30 and then ran to home for rest and more medicine and managed myself to attend the 7:30 meeting from home.
Now real pain came when in midnight i got high fever(103 degree)and then my frnds rushed me to near by hospital where Dr. gave me injection to bring down temperature but the next day same thing happened,i took off from office and relaxed at home, took tablets but in evening the temperature was same 101 degree..so again went to Dr and he again peirced syringe into my body to bring down the temp.
I thought for how long this will continue,i felt like a bufflow who is being treated daily with syringes for cure, but luckly next day i had no temperature but lot of pain in neck.So again to Dr. and he told me that i have got tonsils ,so continue taking tablets and do gargling with hot salty water 10-12 times a day.I was feeling so weak that i took another off from my office and started taking care of my throat.
But my bad luck, pain is so severe i cannot drink one drop of water properly, from last 2 days i have just eaten one chappati plus the recommended medicines(has made my taste worst). Really severe tonsil can kill a person, just wish god to make me well soon, not talking to ppl much inorder to save energy.I hope it gets fine by weekend!

Just forgot to mention that in these day kakati, shuvam & his mother took a lot of care of mine.God Bless them!It reminded me of days when i met with an accident in college time and cut my lips, then sharma, yash and chow took same initiative to take care of mine.luv u all.

Blogworld

I think only 40% of the ppl would have been previously maintaining some personal diary on routine work/feelings.
Choosing blogging can have various reason:
1.Maintaining a dairy of your routine/feelings
2.Share your ideas with many ppl easily(at same time) and dont need to carry
3.Can get opinions from others
4.Not too expensive and easy to manage.

I write blog to key down my ideas and to share with ppl.Its also a fun for me.

Anyways, i will always enjoy posting on my blog.Chalo c u next week.

This week!

This week i was as usual busy, but the only difference towards work was that i was doing a task that i felt sick.Sick in the sense that it was related to previous release and i have to look into dozen of files which had a arabic meaning to me.And i always believe i should have a little understanding of stuff i am dealing with so that i can pave my path incase i am stucked up.But i was dealing with some j2ee funda file things which were above my head(though stuff was to follow some hard core steps to do sanity check and complete it,but understanding make things better for me)..i can handle upto core java, but above that i need a day of understanding..any how got chance to touch a bit of them.

Java, the language which is feeder for lot of s/w ppl. Each time i start working on it..i loose my hands after couple of day becouse of some other stuff to deal with. Each time i start again i just brush up intial chapters and leave it at same point...never got chance to go ahead.I am looking to days when i will totally plunge myself in the pool of java world.

On the top, i am not well from last 3 days, suffering from cold and fever ...will relax on weekend. Our Boss is cool and co-operative,thanks to him.I think,i need more of learning and direction on things which i lag a lot.I will soon try to put efforts on it!Wish to get a contribution on it from my colleagues and company:-)

I feel that all the angels are washing up heaven with water:-)

B'lore sparks!

Few days back, an employee from our company posted a negative statement abt ppl of bangalore in common info mailing list as he faced some bad experiences in bangalore. For this, he had to read a flood of mails filled with ire from other employees for his wrong attitude.

One of the hillarious post.
Always try to make things better by adding constructive ideas rather then just criticising or getting angry.

*Wonderful weekend...party at boss house*

Hey,i am back after a long time..any how you ppl must be knowing the reason for delay?Yaa i am damn busy...i know work schedule is always tight
during release time but major reason is that we got a big change to incorporate in code which made me to scrap the whole code and rewrite 70%
of the code with change in table structures...thats not all, you need to check whether ur code is working fine(i mean all intial testing work also)...
i dont know how last week flew away..everyday worked till late night upto 1:30 and then was back home half dead and again same routine each day.
Due to this i had to cancel my plan to go home...i know its bad to be in such situation but one has to be there when business demands
There was lack of resources too and i felt the situation was too critical for boss to get back the additional resources which we have loaned to other teams.
My main reason to go home was to see my father who has just recovered from jaundis..I pray god to keep my family in good health.

I really feel the pain to be in bangalore when i have to go home(2 days journey)for some important ocasions. You cannot choose the fight option everytime which hit hard on your pocket.
Will also miss my best frnds brother marriage next week..though he can understand me,but i cannot give the same reason everytime to my close ones.

Anyways i had a lot of posts pending in my list which i created with subject line and an idea on what to write but some how could'nt manage to complete them.
This post is specially for beautiful day we spent at boss house, parting last week...though the start was hard luck on me,but once i was there, things turned cool and beautiful for me.Party was late in evening, left late from home due to some mess up abt decision on how to go with collegues. Finally decided that i will go on my jet and rest ppl will go by auto.Seriosly bangalore traffic sucks, and on the top, a big problem was waiting for me on the way...as i was on the inner ring road my bike petrol got over....i dont know how come i forget abt it..though each time it goes into reserve i refill it...i totally forgot it due to which i had to suffer at last minute. There was no petrol pump on inner ring road,so have to go to airport road..now there were 2 pumps but opposite in direction, the one i choose was closed down 2 months back.I was cursing my self..but had no option just to park my bike and go by auto to fetch drinks for my jet.
After this was settled it started drizzling, any how i didnt thought of it much and made my way to boss home.
Then the day was cool, had lot of drinks, eating stuff, watched couple of movies on home theatre system.Best thing was the environment was too cool and informal..was feeling like i was with my college seniors.
We were back home by 1:30.Did lot of bakar, had a glance at boss previous company album ..party was really nice.
Thanks god for such a nice person.Hope to see such good days again:-)

English is a puzzle.

"Why english is not science with a set of rules so that we can arrive on proper word usage for conversation, like in maths were we all know 2+2=4,but in english the usage & meaning of word changes depending on context"..i raised this question to my roommate(shubhu) and he just said "english literature is all about how you interpret it..."

I have come across a no of books/dictionary which will give u a root/base word, which can help in learning a family of words but thats not always a thumb rule...some times the base word in certain cases lead you to wrong interpretation or probably an opposite meaning.

English lexical is being derived from a number of languages latin, germanic etc and english grammer seems to contain too much twisted rules.Few days back oxford publication have included the SMS language words too in there list...i feel that soon english grammer usage will be ruled out and we will use the language which is more easier and acceptable by people(may be hinglish in india):-)

Fools Day

No one knows exactly the origin of this day..but some how it is linked to ancient root stories for its birth.
Anyways, for me the day began late in the morning as i slept late.Like every day i was not in a mood to get up early and go to office...was feeling like to take a leave, but thought "wht for?"wht will i do once i am awake(these all thoughts are going on while i am still lying on my bed, want to sleep for few minutes more).
Then suddenly my flow of thoughts broke due to some loud voice..oh i recognized it..it was my roomamte shubhu..he has got up few minutes before (to pay dues of newspaper walla)and i was still dreaming in my sleep...actually i remember there was another ring on door bell, after that i heard him happily calling my name "get up and see who is here"...he was having a surprise smile, which didnt smell fishy to me..so i thought may be some old frnd of ours must have given a suprise visit that to early in morning...i thought, anyways its also time to get up and be ready for office...so got up and sat, waiting for surprise visitor to come in my bedroom..as no one turned out,i went straight to drawing room, but found no one and when i turned to shubhu,he gave me a grin and said "April Fool"...i smiled back and thought how could i remember the day.

Anyways, wish you to shall have some funny experience in the day:-) **HAPPY FOOLS DAY**

Ruined public opinion!

This post is regarding 2 sided opnion made by people on same issue, which ultimately lead to no results.

Few days back bollywood bad man was in news for casting couch plot, though it was critsized a lot by media but i found most people of opinion that the media was infringing private space of people. No one was concern abt the reallity expose (may be everyone knows about filmi life or they consider media more danger to there own life, which ultimately means everyone is doing some secret crime work).I read a no of newspaper articles and blogs where people(in indirect sense) want the media to expose scams, following rules and regulation...hey are you joking..can that be done...no way!!!

And today i read a reverse opinion of people for media war blog ....a popular blog being asked to shut down as it was exposing reallity of biggies(particularly the name was of TOI).

People did'nt wanted the blog to be shut down becoz it was exposing big wholes of giant people..Now i have a question,Is the blog written according to rules and regulation..though it was run by journalist.
I dont know why people dont stick to one opinion(mostly people keep themself on safer side)... now guys reading this post will be thinking that i myself have a swirling opinion.

So here goes wht i accept...
Govt should make strict rules and regulation ofcourse in favour and better ment of people and make them to follow closely and if some one is found guilty breaking them..then punish them severly no matter whoever it is ,this will be lesson for everyone and people will surely think before commiting a crime.
Now everyone will think this is hard to follow...then you have to decide wht you want?exposer of bad people using wrong medium?then how we will categorise the people doing crime..one who commited or one who exposed using wrong medium..there should be no markation for big or small crime..crime is crime..if one does and other exposes using wrong way then both will be in same pool....else we will be always in a crime loop...which we have to break.

We need to apply this step by step ...no delay in court decision..no acceptance of mercy...though everyone in top heriarchy are themself drowned in corruption, they dont want all this ..but one has to start...hard to swallow and strict to follow but people have to raise the choice(govt. is for the people,by the people and of the people)...else everyone will have to remain quiet and keep watching.

I hope my opinion is only to make things better :-)

College canteen..

I read an article on college canteen from last week newspaper magzine. It was all about bangalore students view on college canteen food stuff and enviroment and finally a rating from them. That all reminded me of our college canteen..
Really most of the students enjoy and pass time in canteen rather then in classes or library.
In our college there was two canteens(one for students and other for college workers).Students canteen didnt had any good infrastructure and menu item consist of few eatables like cholla samosa, bread pakoda, tea etc. Most of the times we have to go to city market to have good food or to get our daily need stuff.
Just to avoid going a long way to market,me and my frnds use to have breakfast and probably lunch also in canteen as i luved the pakodas with a sip of hot tea.The owner of the canteen (popularly known as "sharmaji") was a nice person to us .We have asked him a couple of time why dont he include more things in menu?he used to say that students are not interesed in new things as he tried a number of times by including new eatables but mostly, ppl ingnored it and took the usual stuff.Other thing was that gals didnt come to canteen as it was some past trend and this made canteen environment more verse and indecent.Boys used to smoke around..i always thought if gals and professor also visited the canteen, then there would have been a lot of improvement..alas it never happened, anyways still i enjoyed bunking class in college days and be in canteen to fill up my empty stomach(used to get up late for college and then run for class..obiously miss my hostel breakfast).I would give rating as 4/10 to our college canteen

I heard from my juniors that college has improved a lot... number of new facilities are introduced and canteen has been upgraded with good menu ,new infrastucture and gals/professors too visit the place...really cool to hear all about it.

ONE BEDROOM FLAT... AN INDIAN SOFTWARE ENGINEER'S LIFE... - A Bitter Reality

As the dream of most parents I had acquired a degree in Software
Engineer
and joined a company based in USA, the land of braves and opportunity.
When I arrived in the USA, it was as if a dream had come true.

Here at last I was in the place where I want to be. I decided I would
be staying in this country for about Five years in which time I would
have earned enough money to settle down in India.

My father was a government employee and after his retirement, the only
asset he could acquire was a decent one bedroom flat. I wanted to do
some thing more than him. I started feeling homesick and lonely as the
time
passed. I used to call home and speak to my parents every week using
cheap international phone cards. Two years passed, two years of
Burgers
at
McDonald's and pizzas and discos and 2 years watching the foreign
exchange rate getting happy whenever the Rupeevalue went down.

Finally I decided to get married. Told my parents that I have only 10
days of holidays and everything must be done within these 10 days. I
got my ticket booked in the cheapest flight. Was jubilant and was
actually
enjoying hopping for gifts for all my friends back home. If I miss
anyone then there will be talks. After reaching home I spent home one
week going through all the photographs of girls and as the time was
getting
shorter I was forced to select one candidate.
In-laws told me,to my surprise, that I would have to get married in 2-
3
days, as
I will not get anymore holidays. After the marriage, it was time to
return to USA, after giving some money to my parents and telling the
neighbors to look after them, we returned to USA.

My wife enjoyed this country for about two months and then she started
feeling lonely. The frequency of calling India increased to twice in a
week sometimes 3 times a week. Our savings started diminishing. After
two more years we started to have kids. Two lovely kids, a boy and a
girl,
were gifted to us by the almighty. Every time I spoke to my parents,
they
asked me to come to India so that they can see their grand-children.

Every year I decide to go to India. But part work part monetary
conditions
prevented it. Years went by and visiting India was a distant
dream. Then suddenly one day I got a message that my parents were
seriously sick.
I tried but I couldn't get any holidays and thus could not go to
India.
The next
message I got was my parents were passed away and as there was no one
to
do
the last rights the society members had done whatever they could. I
was
depressed. My parents were passed away without seeing their grand
children.

After couple more years passed away, much to my children's dislike and
my wife's joy we returned to India to settle down. I started to look
for a suitable property, but to my dismay my savings were short and
the
property prices had gone up during all these years. I had to return to
the USA.

My wife refused to come back with me and my children refused to stay
in India. My 2 children and I returned to USA after promising my wife
I
would be back for good after two years.

Time passed by, my daughter decided to get married to an American and
my son was happy living in USA. I decided that had enough and wound-up
every thing and returned to India. I had just enough money to buy a
decent 02 bedroom flat in a well-developed locality. Now I am 60 years
old and
the only time I go out of the flat is for the routine visit to the
nearby
temple. My faithful wife has also left me and gone to the holy abode.

Sometimes I wondered was it worth all this? My father, even after
staying in India, had a house to his name and I too have the same
nothing more.

I lost my parents and children for just ONE EXTRA BEDROOM.

Looking out from the window I see a lot of children dancing. This
damned cable TV has spoiled our new generation and these children are
losing their values and culture because of it. I get occasional cards
from my
children asking I am alright. Well at least they remember me. Now
perhaps after
I die it will be the neighbors again who will be performing my last
rights, God Bless them. But
the question still remains 'was all this worth it?'

I am still searching for an
answer................!!!!

SECRET CRUSH: Time for a laugh!!!

HAVE YOU BEEN GUILTY OF LOOKING AT OTHERS YOUR OWN
AGE AND THINKING, "SURELY I CAN'T LOOK THAT OLD?"
I WAS SITTING IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR MY FIRST
APPOINTMENT WITH A NEW DENTIST. I NOTICED HIS DDS DIPLOMA, WHICH BORE HIS FULLNAME.
SUDDENLY, I REMEMBERED A TALL, HANDSOME, DARK-HAIRED BOY
WITHTHE SAME NAME HAD BEEN IN MY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS
SOME 40-ODD YEARS AGO.

COULD HE BE THE SAME GUY THAT I HAD A SECRET CRUSH ON, WAY BACK THEN??

UPON SEEING HIM, HOWEVER, I QUICKLY DISCARDED ANY SUCH THOUGHT.

THIS BALDING, GRAY-HAIRED MAN WITH THE DEEPLY LINED FACE WAS
WAY TOO OLD TO HAVE BEEN MY CLASSMATE.
HMMM,...OR COULD HE???

AFTER HE EXAMINED MY TEETH, I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD ATTENDED
CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL.

"YES. YES, I DID. " HE GLEAMED WITH PRIDE.

"WHEN DID YOU GRADUATE?" I ASKED.

HE ANSWERED, "IN 1957. WHY DO YOU ASK?"

"YOU WERE IN MY CLASS!" I EXCLAIMED.

HE LOOKED AT ME CLOSELY

THEN, THAT UGLY, OLD, WRINKLED SON-OF-A-BITCH ASKED,
"WHAT DID YOU TEACH?"

Heck time...

Its a long time i have made a post to my blog....reason ofcourse "LOT OF WORK".Last time i made a blog was on 8th march, after that i didnt even got a chance to see my blog again.

Release deadline, previous release fixes and new superboss strategy, all has made me to work minimum 12 hrs a day like a mule....i dont know how the days have past from last three weeks.Only weekends give me a break.
Now my routine is get up late in the morning, then run for office and then slog whole day in office till late night...by the time i am back my head is crashing and dont feel like talking much to any one and reading any stuff, just have my dinner and get to bed.
Result of pressure:
1.Have missed my daily breakfast and gym routine.
2.Dont even get a glance of newspaper or novels. In previous days if i miss reading newspaper then i used to read news on net thru google news.
3.Dont have time to meet my sister..she yells at me by sending sms that she is upset as now days i dont have time for her.
4.Feeling bad for my papa as he is suffering from joundis and could not make a attempt to go back home and see him..though just try to call up atleast thrice a week to ask abt his health...GOD bless him and make him well soon.
5.Didnt mailed/called up my frnds and many more...:-(

Last week my cousin came down to stay with me for a week and due to this heck time i didnt gota chance to enjoy and talk to him properly except last weekend....who should i blame:to work/bosses/me/luck?...anyways things have to move on and i have to make some adjustments and bring life back to normal state. But i am sure this routine wil countinue for atleast one more month..God save me.
Coming weekend is a long one as i have a off on friday...will try to go out with my sister..hopefully for a match as 3rd test cricket match b/w pakistan and india going on in bangalore and she wants to see it and i have still not got the tickets....my cousin will also leave by this weekend...hope he dont feel too bad as i showed much devotion to my work then him.

So today i thought to make as many post i can....lets see when i wil be back on my blog again..will try to read all mails and fwds as they are cluttering up in my mailbox and will fully refresh myself this weekend...definetly will complete my todays office work also...wish me gud luck:-)

Weekend movie synopsis..

Fight Club:

Fight Club is a masterpiece . It stars an all star cast including Brad Pitt , Edward Norton , Helena Carter.

Edward Norton plays an unamed insomniac that finds refuge and consolidation in the suffering of others as he goes from anonymous meeting to anonymous meeting. It is here he meets Carter, a fellow insomniac whose appearance makes it almost impossible for him to find any gratification from other people's misery. He needs an answer, and this is found in Tyler Durden (Pitt), a soap salesman and part time convicter of indecent exposure in cinema reels whose philosophy is that you don't know anything about yourself unless you have been in a fight.

Together they set up Fight Club, an underground secret club that involves the pounding of its members, governed by only eight rules. Tyler's need for destruction gets out of hand, however as he plans to destroy a series of banks unknown, apparently, to Norton's character until his real life comes crashing down upon him.

Edward Norton is brilliant, and is supported by the amazing talents of both Pitt and Carter.

It's not until it has been watched a second time that you will see its superb cleverness and confusion, the ending is truly unexpected, but afterwards painfully obvious.

Get this film!

Hitch:

A delightful romantic comedy movie, Will Smith stars as Alex, an urban "date doctor" who helps the wall flower man woo the woman of his dreams.

Hitch will use any means necessary--dance lessons, back waxing--to instill romantic confidence in his clientele. Why? He was once a lonely wallflower himself, who learned about love and heartbreak the hard way.

His latest project, Albert, just may be his most difficult. Albert, a junior accountant prone to clumsiness, has fallen head-over-heels for one of his clients, Allegra, a well-known celebrity.

Complicating things further, Hitch's dating dogma is shaken when he meets and falls for a beautiful gossip columnist, Sara, whose sharp wit easily pierces his cool facade.

Conflict arises when Sara uncovers Hitch's true profession and blames him for her best friend being dumped.
But later Alex is able to convince Sara abt her postive and true work(Sara too feel sorry for her act) and film ends by finding a companion for sara's best friend.

No communication protocol needed....

Now days i am busy with my project work as the deadline is near and on the top i got a bug of previous release to fixup.Yesteday, i stayed with my boss till late night to resolve the issue...thanks god (i mean boss) it was done...really my boss is a cool chap, god bless him..will surely dedicate a special post for him...but when??..dont know..let me find a day when i will be in full flow to write.. and whts so special abt him???.. about his gr8 thoughts and brighter life style..though simplicity is the best thing in him(does that mean no darker side..have but in patches..that is not visible).
I have a number of post pending to write upon like on my frnd circle, team mates,roommates..etc etc...lets see, when they come up!!!
Oops..this is not what i want to write in todays post....its about the communication we have at our home with land lords(this is also a post which i was not able to write down though always busy,i have started hating this word busy :-) ).
The house in which i stay is big enough that there are total 4 tenants along with landlord family. There is bengali family(my frnds family),another is muslim family ,3rd one dont know exactly,as it keep swapping,i think mostly south indian ppl and last but not the least,WE(it consist of mixture of india, all are my college frnds-- one from AP, other from east, me from north and one is from middle india and we are looking for a guy from east(joking)..how abt a gal??..kidding)..actually 3 of us own the flat,4th one is here for job search.

Now our landlord is south indian, not able to communicate in hindi but i think they can understand it to very little extend..now guess how we communicate.Thats wonder man...i always see my frnds muma talking to landlord aunt in hindi with bengali tinge..and wht she gets in reply is telgu words..and they both keep chatting, but how come they understand, its strange for me.Same is the case with my uncle and landlord..uncle speaks english and landlord ofcourse replies back in telgu..somehow it goes all well.

For me,if i want to talk to my landlords i look for there childrens as they know english well..but if they are not there then i have to manage with face expressions, actions, broken words and pointing to objects in case if i need to refer to it in my speech...suprisingly that works gr8..And if any how i am not able to understand, then i have only option to grin and leave from there..or just node on wht ever they spoke(that can cause me in trouble some day)

Cannot hold back our experience with telgu cook...in intial stages we have really hard time to communicate to her wht we want in dinner...if we ask for egg fry she just boils the eggs and leave arnd..if we ask her to make dal and brinjal sabji then we will get a mixture of dal and brinjal instead of seperate integrents....and if u want to tell the counts of roti ..then our hindi counts never worked..we used fingers and tried the trick of bringing hands back and fourth to tell total counts in no of 10's...but it didnt worked and result was just 10 ..i got the bug..i should have raise my hands then bring them down and repeat it again..this works man....when ever we asked for less spicy food..we got more spicy each day..the only solution for us was,not to bring mirchi from market..if no mirchi, then wht she will put to make it spicy..we escaped...it became smoother after few weeks as she and we had developed a set of action and words to communicate our needs....but now days we miss her as she is on leave and gone home...we ourself cook food..thanks god i learn a lot of cooking though, the credit goes to my mother as she always taught me tits and bits of every thing..luv u mom.

Really language is not important..as it is man made stuff..but understanding counts a lot in life..really human mind is biggest creation of god..i mean the whole body it self.
One thing i will like to admit, that people in south are cool, co-operative and calm(leave the exceptions always..as bugs are always left..even in god creation).
The word bug remindeds me of a nice thing which my collegue told...if bugs are not created by us(development team) then wht abt QA and testing team, they will loose their job:-)

painless software management....

Article by Joel Spolsky

Maybe I should call this article "why I should stop reading Upside Magazine". I really have been trying to stop, but they send it to me for free, and I really needed bathroom reading material, so I grabbed it and found one of the most wrong-headed articles I've seen in a long time. Well, actually, there are wrong-headed articles all over Upside magazine, but this one was particularly irksome.

It's an article by Stephen James called "Lessons in Survival". (March 2000 Upside). Every month, I'm told, Mr James will share with us "some of the simple lessons [he's] learned from [his] own startups".

It includes lots of extremely useful advise that you would never figure out on your own, like, don't spend a lot of money on office space and try to find a neighborhood where you don't have to stand in line at the local restaurants. If you are starting a dot com, Mr James reminds us, "Get out of the house... Working at home sucks." And he points out that you should never pay more than $1.50 per square foot. Thanks, Mr James! It's extremely strange to me that you could expect the same price in every market. Maybe he just assumes that everyone in the world starts all companies in Silicon Valley.

"Forget the free coffee and drinks. Sure they're free at Microsoft... who wants to be like Microsoft?"

Hello? Is this a joke? Did Upside schedule their April issue for May?

I guess Mr James lives in a funny la-la world where there are millions of programmers just dying to work at your startup. When you are the founder of a company, you want to skimp on frills; they seem like a waste of money to you. That's fine. But don't think that candidates interviewing at your company will have the same emotional attachment; they won't. They are looking for a nice place to work. Skimping on free soft drinks, a completely standard benefit at most high tech companies, is a great way to send your employees and potential employees the message that you just don't care about being an attractive workplace.

Everybody in Silicon Valley seems to be talking about Charlie, the gourmet cook at Google who used to work for Jerry Garcia. I can tell you, the food is spectacular even by Michelin standards, not just corporate cafeteria standards. Because the food in the company cafeteria is so good, people don't leave work to eat. They eat with their colleagues, which increases learning and communication. They get back to work within half an hour, making them more productive. They feel like Google cares about them, making them more loyal.

Meanwhile, "Build-outs are a bad idea," Stephen James tells us. "Don't build out your space with walls or partitions -- leave it open... If employees need an office with a door, let them go to law school or Apple."

Guess what? They will go to Apple! And replacing just one of them will cost on the order of $50,000 in recruiting and training. A friend of mine provides gorgeous private office space for his programmers in the most expensive real estate district in the USA, Manhattan, and it's probably costing about $6,000 per person per year. Not much in the scheme of things.

What's worse, Mr James seems to be completely ignorant of the documented productivity gains provided by giving knowledge workers space, quiet, and privacy. The classic software management book Peopleware documents these productivity benefits extensively. (To be fair, Mr James is not alone in his cluelessness. He's just reflecting the folk wisdom prevalent in the Valley).

Here's the trouble. We all know that knowledge workers work best by getting into "flow", also known as being "in the zone", where they are fully concentrated on their work and fully tuned out of their environment. They lose track of time and produce great stuff through absolute concentration. This is when they get all of their productive work done. Writers, programmers, scientists, and even basketball players will tell you about being in the zone.

The trouble is, getting into "the zone" is not easy. When you try to measure it, it looks like it takes an average of 15 minutes to start working at maximum productivity. Sometimes, if you're tired or have already done a lot of creative work that day, you just can't get into the zone and you spend the rest of your work day fiddling around, reading the web, playing Tetris.

The other trouble is that it's so easy to get knocked out of the zone. Noise, phone calls, going out for lunch, having to drive 5 minutes to Starbucks for coffee, and interruptions by coworkers -- ESPECIALLY interruptions by coworkers -- all knock you out of the zone. If you take a 1 minute interruption by a coworker asking you a question, and this knocks out your concentration enough that it takes you half an hour to get productive again, your overall productivity is in serious trouble. If you're in a noisy bullpen environment like the type that caffinated dotcoms love to create, with marketing guys screaming on the phone next to programmers, your productivity will plunge as knowledge workers get interrupted time after time and never get into the zone.

With programmers, it's especially hard. Productivity depends on being able to juggle a lot of little details in short term memory all at once. Any kind of interruption can cause these details to come crashing down. When you resume work, you can't remember any of the details (like local variable names you were using, or where you were up to in implementing that search algorithm) and you have to keep looking these things up, which slows you down a lot until you get back up to speed.

Here's the simple algebra. Let's say (as the evidence seems to suggest) that if we interrupt a programmer, even for a minute, we're really blowing away 15 minutes of productivity. For this example, lets put two programmers, Jeff and Mutt, in open cubicles next to each other in a standard Dilbert veal-fattening farm. Mutt can't remember the name of the Unicode version of the strcpy function. He could look it up, which takes 30 seconds, or he could ask Jeff, which takes 15 seconds. Since he's sitting right next to Jeff, he asks Jeff. Jeff gets distracted and loses 15 minutes of productivity (to save Mutt 15 seconds).

Now let's move them into separate offices with walls and doors. Now when Mutt can't remember the name of that function, he could look it up, which still takes 30 seconds, or he could ask Jeff, which now takes 45 seconds and involves standing up (not an easy task given the average physical fitness of programmers!). So he looks it up. So now Mutt loses 30 seconds of productivity, but we save 15 minutes for Jeff.

Anyway, I fully expect that most of you, reading this, will write to say, "what the heck are you doing reading Upside anyway? You get what you deserve". How true. Serves me right.

Media...

Media the most powerful medium..can raise a man from earth to sky and vice versa.
Couple of days back,i was happy to read news abt saurabh singh, the boy who excelled in NASA exams. The news got more popularity when it was mentioned that our Mr.president and kalpna chawla also gave the same exam but this boy performed better then both....
The real story was yet to come..the shocking news in todays paper.."The news abt saruab was a hoax".It was confirmed by NASA ppl that they dont conduct such exams and Mr. president and kalpna chawla didnt appeared for these exams.Though saruabh gave a proof as exam identity card which relates to some competition under name of NASA(though full form will be different).
Really this media ppl are crazy to get hot news and they dont care for facts as they only think for their daily column news.
And the biggest surprise was that, Mr. president already met the boy and parents in this concern and our PM cancelled the meeting at last minute.Really no one cares for facts.Media should take into consideration that there news effect mass group.

Few months back there was some news about our cricketer bajji getting engaged with bangalore gal..priya reddy(this was mentioned in inerview with priya).
Next day bajji counter attacked saying that they are just frnds and there is nothing as such going on and media has taken her statements in wrong way..he will marry with his parents wishes that too in punjabi community.
News of kidnapping case of bihar boy jolted every one..then from next day onwards i used to see, daily one kidnapping case news.Either the kidnapping cases were already in large masses but media never cared to expose them or the kidnappers thought its right time for them to carry on there job:-)
Some times ppl use the media just for their publicity....dont know whom to really blame.
Its gud that media also belts the wrong guys but now days papers are full of cooked stuff rather then real story.

Proverbs

If you are some how linked with web world and have a lot of friends associated, you are bound to get a lot of forward mails(though fwding is default work of s/w engg :-) .I will not comment on the contents of fwd mails, but the proverbs which people usually add at end of there mail.
One of my frnd XYZ,who always add a proverb to his mail is "Change is the Only thing that will Never change. So better Adapt to it."..and to my surprise one of my batchmate replied back to his attitude as
"hi XYZ,i liked ur mail. but the most unfortunate thing tht u always add a quote after that. is it necessary or u r trying to say tht u have realized that.
actaully, i don see any connection between that qoute and ur mail. pls don mind, and of coourse don take it to heart, pls inform me the relation which i didn't understand. ...From MNO"

I never thought it is unfortunate to add a proverbs and there is no definite rule that you should add a proverb matching with the subject of content....it seems ridiculous question to raise.

Now the real jerk came to me after seeing XYZ reply
"hi MNO
dear acutally there is option of adding signature in outgoing mails, there i have written that quote.. so in each mail u c that quote...
byee ..XYZ"(have edited the contents of mail to make it short)

What i was expecting from XYZ was not the procedure of adding signatures but why he felt like adding this particular quote(which actually MNO means)...and its my personal feeling that he should have mentioned that he liked it and felt impressive to add...or if at all he realized the proverb in his life.

Never mind...its just a incidence.Lets not critisize it any more and enjoy some more proverbs Thoughts Of A Maverick

Today i have added some useful links to my blog and a clock to give a good feel..
Wow..today is last working day of the week...hope i will catch up some movies this weekend, shall meet some frnds and have to see Dr. too, feeling pain in knees from last week...seems like i have grown older:-)..chalo have a good weekend.

Love Marriage Vs Arranged Marriage

Got a fwd from my colleague on it,so thought to make a post..btw was eagerly waitng for some topic:-)
During college days,i found this topic in discussion in bakar room and found ppl asking each one's opinion.
Let me give a brief on each...
Love marriage:Here you get a chance to have a life partner of your choice. That does not always mean that you got what you were wishing for.You atleast get a partner whom you know prehand and are ready to accept.
In indian society it is not widely accepted so ultimately parents put pressure on there childrens for not opting it and in any case if they go for LM and end up in some mis-understanding,no one is ready to guide them as all were against it.
Arrange marriage:Here you have to go with your parents choice, though you are always asked for your opinion, but you dont have any solid base to make a decision so you just give a green signal for the choice.
Here failure occurs due to lack of adjustment with your partner, may be they have some preset expectation from partner.Due to backup of family,mis-understanding are mostly resolved and you have no choice but to live life with a smile.

Now days,i have seen more of LM then AM.This is due to:
1.Parents are educated enough to go with younger generation choice as they know that there childrens are the ones who have to live life.
2.Life is so hectic that no one has time to pock there nose in others life.
3.LM is turning out to be succesful,so more signs of acceptance by society.

Surely days are not far, when ppl will take arrange marriage with a surprise and accept luv marriages with open arms.
What abt Luv cum arranged marriage..you ppl can guess it out:-)

When i went for my cousin marriage, all my bhabhee's were asking my preference on it and they told that AM is better...but i was thinking how can they be so sure abt it as they have not seen the other side:-)

Adding up forwarded mail....and wish you all a happy and cheerful valentine's day with your luv one's.

Resembles procedural programming

Women in news...

I found a lot of women in news now days...so thought of making a post for them as few days back there was a lot of hot discussion on statement made by Harvard president that"The lack of top female scientists could be due to "innate differences" in genetics and upbringing between men and women" and later on some labortary proved that men brain cells can transmit signal 4 times faster then in women. It is always said that women are more good in verbal abilities..right becoz they love too much talking:-)

Sania Mirza:Really feel proud to see such a youngster, who tuned to be first Indian woman to have reached this far in a Grand Slam event. She lost in third round to Serena Williams, though there was no expectation or news about her to such a level but she out performed her ability.Even serena was of view that she is a energetic young player and she had a tough match with sania. Now there are lots of hopes from this youngster.
Few days back i was reading a article by dravid regarding achievement by sania,he said "people do not applause for what player has achieved..they start expecting a lot from them though he or she may have out performed her abilities"..so lets applause each youngster and wish for there success.

Martina Navratilova:It seems happy & encouraging attitude for youngsters to have such a big tennis star coming to Hyderabad Open for doubles match. She is here for 4 days tour inspite of her busy schedule.Navratilova,49,has won 167 singles titles, including 16 grand slams, and 174 doubles titles.
She was looking awesome on frontpage newspaper, clad in green silk saree..one of reporter asked her"dont you feel like quiting at such age and start enjoying private life"..she replied back by saying "Do you get bore with your life,as tennis is my life".

Carly Fiorina:Fiorina,CEO of Hewlett-Packard is most powerful and influential businesswoman in the world. She was told to resign becoz of differences in strategies between her and the board .
I heard some one saying she will now turn finance minister under bush presidency.

Aishwarya Rai:Miss world, known for her beauty all over the world and now have turned a good actor of bollywood. She is much in news for her going ahead into hollywood movies. While the lady won't be shedding her clothes in a hurry, her stand on kissing has taken an about turn. Ash now says that she will be willing to do kissing scenes if the director considers them imperative.

..many more like anara gupta, negar khan for wrong issues.

bang bang b'lore...

Bangalore..the silicon valley of india, also known for its beauty and climate is now getting crowded & poluted day by day.I am sure days are not far, when people in b'lore will spend more time on roads(facing traffic) then at their workplace/home.
I know the count of s/w ppl is increasing rapidly but we cannot curse the IT people only for traffic problems, even the bad roads and improper infrastructure has creating great menance. The number of flyovers or under pathways developed recently are just enough to make traffic move from 0.1 km/hr to 0.5 km/hr but if u are 1 km ahead or before the flyover, you will again find a bottleneck. On top of this, govt. has made a number of roads as one way. This has created a hell lot of confusion for people.

When i came to b'lore,i was happy to see traffic police wala's well dressed up with white color cow boy cap being posted at various places, but as time passed,i never saw them making general public to follow rules strictly. If they catch up people breaking rules and make them to follow them, surely the traffic and accident nuisance can be reduced to good extend.Take example ofbeautiful city chandigarh...i have been there for 2 years,i know its well planned but still traffic police are very strict to rules(though they also mint money from people for breaking rules:-) ),atleast things work fine.

Ahaah...i should not miss out james bond of b'lore roads...guess who are they?..Auto rickshaw wala's.I am sure they will qualify for F1 race,as they can manage to drive fast on such congested and crowded roads. It seems auto driver gets all rights of road as they get their driving license and also they have to strictly follow the rule of breaking laws.If by chance,u bang your vechile into them, then you will be treated as culprit.

Funny part with them is if you hire a auto-rickshaw in b'lore, they will always ask for double charges by giving reason "Saab, auto wahan saa khaalle ayaga"i.e after dropping you to your destination, auto will have to come back without any passenger.Thats really gud trick to ask for more money and some how they will manage to get Rs 10 from you by saying"boss khushi sa da do"i.e give me 10 rupees more with your will.
Yuck..auto prices have touched the sky level and on the top they expect us to be happy and give them more money,if that was the case we would have bought our own vechile(that again will increase no of vehiles on roads) ...probably auto itself:-)
This traffic nuisance has caused a lot of problems to pedestial who always have to cross the road as if they are playing some death well game.
It was nice to see local buses here, where you have reserved seat for ladies. These provides cheap medium of transport to comman man...but now a days buses are crowded as if there is some partition time going on and they have to leave the city immediatly even by hanging around the giant devil(dont care for the precious life).

Seriously karnataka govt. should stop thinking now and get started with quick work. They should allow IT infrastructure to be developed out of the city with proper residencial and complexies.Heavy vehiles should not be allowed at crucial timings .Every companies can provide there own transport(buses)which will be safer and better medium.
Traffic police should wake up and force people to follow rules...i hope then we will no more have any james bond in real life but only in reel life.
Things are difficult to apply in one shot but step by step things can be improved...lets hope to see b'lore a more better and beautiful place to live:-)

Save private sector from glitches...

I am not in favor of having reservation in private sector..it does not mean i dont cover up in it or i have some inborn hatred in my mind for particular set of people. In india, more population belongs to middle class which don't come under any special category...by making such clauses, deserving people are being set back.
I understand that govt. apply such clauses to uplift backward community..but i ask one question,if a person who took the benefit of these clauses and have got good status and money ,does there children still need to be covered under such section as though there family can bear all monetory expenditures.I can see a hell lot of people who dont have enough money, who struggle a lot but dont get right result for there effort due to lack of seats.
During my college times,i have seen people who come under special category, either are too rich that they enjoy extra benefits or if at all they deserve such benefits and get such facilities, dont seem to have enough determination to get ahead(taking into consideration major people).
A number of times i have read in news that a lot of people who dont come under any category and have enough money to spend, make up false certificate for such categories so that there children can get admission in good colleges....really frustrating for people who desrve the seats.
Government should atleast spare private sector which contributes to country economy to greater extend as they have efficient work force .(private sector also has corruption but not to extend of public area).
And if at all govt. bring out any category clause in any field, they should put a limit on financial condition of people covered under it and should take action against wrong people who falsely try to take up benefit from it.

Lets make india a developed nation..jai hind:-)

Movies this weekend..

This weekend got chance to view 2 movies.

PAGE 3:The movie whirls around a newspaper reporter, who is being surprised to see the showoff lifestyle in film industry, people goes below there dignity and self respect to keep there status and earn there living, again some political influence to hide the exposure of bad ppl behind film industry...really gud movie, thanks god we are living a better life..worth watching.

BLACK:A marvellous work by sanjay...it seems bollywood is moving ahead to have international status by making movies on different areas like hollywood, which is apart from regular laila-majnu stories. The movie is about a teacher determination & struggle to turn a deaf, blind and dumb child into a normal person so that she is no more treated as insane by society....in movie,at no of scences the spirits rises to high end ...i expect special award to rani, ayesha(small child) & big b for there performances.hope the trend which is begun by sanjay is being continued by other directors too:-)

great week..

Last two weeks were really fabulous for me,as i went home to attend my cousin marriage(though I did 4 days journey and stayed 2 days at home.).After a long time(5-6 yrs) i got a chance to attend a family function,i was really excited to meet all my relatives..we danced a lot,was feeling amazing to see marriage rituals. My bhabhee's(now count has increased to 9) were making fun of me that its your next turn to get married so just see whts the rituals u have to carry out while marriage:-)
I was feeling bad as i left my home after marriage but was a bit excited too as i was about to meet my best frnd at delhi ...we sat in macy near station and just remembered old college golden days...talked about each of batch mate where about?
At last the time came to say bye to my frnd & boarded the train, before i coud think abt loosing such good moments,i fell asleep in my coach like dead man as i was exhuasted after long hours dancing & remaining awake for wedding night..now i am back to b'lore again busy with my same work schedule...hope such moments keep ocurring in life.
Before leaving from b'lore i got a chance to visit infy campus with my cousion who was here and my frnd who is working in infy ,it is really marvelous. We also played basket ball & volley ball. After leaving from infy ,i took my cousin arnd b'lore...Traffic nonsence has made b'lore worse...i think karantaka govt has to really work hard on resolving this issue.

Atlast!! jumped in....

Wow...I am finaly on the net with my blog. From last few months the idea of creating my own blog was pushing me like a small child who is attracted towards ballon & this was getting stronger day by day as i keep on reading a number of them on net,but i was waiting for a right force to make me to jump into this blogging world.
Now i chose Feb month for creating a blog becoz i found it really good luck time (..not getting superstitious)..as my frnd got job offer from mnc ,another frnd is about to leave for US and seems to be cheerful week as i have achieved targets which i planned for each day..which i was not able to do from last few months due to my lazinees:-)
I am done with my first post....will keep updating it with routine events, thoughts & exciting topics that will flash upon my mind...cheers:-)
